Breaktime Is Over!

It's been almost a year since I took my "break" from training to settle into a new routine with a new job and new relationship, I am absolutely ready to get myself back in shape. It was all too easy to fall into the trap of being lazy after work and eating the free lunch everyday at work.

I've been missing that feeling I get after a good lifting session: the mix of euphoria, intensity, and self-competitiveness to lift harder than the last time.  Nostalgia is nice, but taking action is better.

To start this week off right, I planned and packed my clean meals for work. I definitely feel the boost in energy from the lean protein and veggies instead of the high fat and carb lunches that I usually indulged in. In addition, there's a satisfaction from being able to say no to free lunch. 

Instagram makes everything look better - even tilapia.

It's mid-week. I have one group training session left for the week and one date with Sobrina to run the Stairway to Hell on Saturday morning. In between, I'm making it my goal to get my cardio in and another two lifting session.

My mantras this week:
  • Stop making excuses and just do it.
  • Every decision counts. 
  • You know what you are capable of. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
